We provide one-day introductory beekeeping workshops at our Apiary/Beehouse which covers all aspects (including some hands-on involvement) of keeping honey bees. Level 1 Beekeeping: A starting point for ‘persons of interest’ (Beginner – 1 Saturday 9am – 12 noon) twice yearly. This is a day of demonstrations and discussions for those who want to know if beekeeping is for them.
Level 2 The Basics of Beekeeping and Maximize Honey Production through Knowledge: (Intermediate – 5 Saturdays) twice yearly. This workshop covers a complete season in beekeeping, with one day of theory, three days working hives and one day identifying Honey Flora. Over 175 students have participated to date.
Level 3 Queen Bee Rearing: (Advanced – 2 Saturdays). This workshop is for intermediate to advanced beekeepers who want the ability to rear their own queens for use all year round. Conditions Apply.
